Mosaic was sold as a foal to South Australia where he was shown very successfully as a yearling. He came back to me as a 2 year old for the stud season and to be shown. He attended three shows as a 2 year old in NSW winning Champion Colt NSW All Welsh Show, Supreme Welsh Mountain Pony & Supreme Welsh Overall National Stud Pony Show & Champion Australian National Show. He then returned to South Australia and continued his show career until ill health forced the dispersal of his owners' stud and I purchased him back.
He attended three shows as a stallion upon his return to NSW and was unbeaten in Welsh classes. An eye injury ended his show career soon after his return.
Mosaic has proven to be an exceptional sire. His first foal crop included Woranora Nadia, Woranora Pageant, The Heights Maybee, Chelsea Park Leonardo (EFA name Peppermint Twist), Abbey Lakes Classy & Abbey Lakes Morfydd all of whom have been extremely successful including All Welsh & Royal Shows. He has continued to consistently sire excellent progeny who appear to have an aptitude for ridden work as well as being successful in hand.
At the 2005 NSW All Welsh Show winning stock by Mosaic included W Nadia, W Pageant, Woranora Treacle, Woranora Pendragon & Rama Park Maximus. At 2006 Canberra Royal the only two Mosaic progeny exhibited were awarded 1st Ridden Section A & Reserve Champion Ridden Welsh (W Nadia, not exhibited led) and 1st Led Welsh A Gelding & Reserve Champion Welsh Gelding (the 2 year old, Rama Park Maximus). At 2007 Sydney Royal both the Section A gelding classes were won by Mosaic progeny with Talbot Lodge Mocha being Best Welsh Mountain gelding at both 2007 & 2008 Sydney Royal Shows.
Mosaic has been an exceptionally consistent sire and has won the Sires Rating Award for the WPCS of A.
